The Match Point Premier League is an elite-level, MLP-style team competition designed for advanced and tournament-level players seeking structured, competitive play.
Each week, teams compete in a doubleheader, facing two different opponents. During the regular season, each team plays every other team twice.
Teams may be formed through:
Bring Your Own Team (BYOT), or
Commissioner-Assembled Teams from Registered Free Agents, if necessary to complete the league field
Each team match follows official MLP-style format:
Women’s Doubles
Men’s Doubles
Mixed Doubles #1
Mixed Doubles #2
Dreambreaker (played only if tied 2–2 after doubles)
Games to 15, win by 2
Sideout scoring
Switch ends at 8
Two timeouts per team
Rally scoring to 21, win by 2
Teams must win on serve at 20+
Switch ends at 11
Players rotate every 4 rallies
Teams earn 1 point per game won.
Teams earn 1 bonus point for winning at least 3 of the 4 doubles games in a match.
Dreambreaker counts as one game win for standings purposes.
Standings are determined by total points accumulated during the regular season.

Home team submits mixed pairings to the away captain by Noon on Friday prior to match day.
Away team responds with mixed pairings.
Both captains must enter full doubles lineups into ScorePickleball by Noon on Sunday.
Failure to meet lineup deadlines may result in commissioner discretion.
To preserve competitive balance and league integrity, substitute players must comply with the following requirements:
A substitute player’s DUPR rating may not exceed the replaced player’s DUPR by more than 0.25.
For substitution eligibility purposes, the replaced player’s DUPR rating will be based on their locked season DUPR rating at registration close.
All substitute players must be registered with the league (including signing of the waiver) and approved prior to participation.
If a proposed substitute exceeds the 0.25 DUPR threshold:
The opposing team captain must approve the substitution prior to match play.
The substitution must be submitted to the Commissioner for final review and approval.
The Commissioner reserves the right to deny substitutions that materially impact competitive balance, even if opposing captain approval is granted.
Failure to follow substitution procedures may result in:
Match forfeiture
Removal of ineligible player results
Commissioner-imposed penalties
All substitution rulings are final.
Substitute eligibility, DUPR verification, pair cap enforcement, lineup deadlines, and scoring policies are strictly enforced to maintain competitive balance and league integrity.

Each week, teams compete in a doubleheader, facing two different opponents. During the regular season, each team plays every other team twice.

Player Evaluation / Tryout Session
Structured Draft Conducted by Captains
Commissioner-Assembled Teams from Registered Free Agents, if necessary to complete the league field
Not all players who attend evaluation may be drafted, as roster spots are limited by court capacity. Drafted players will receive a private registration link to confirm their roster position.

This evaluation is intended for players within the 3.5–4.5 DUPR range seeking placement in the upcoming Select League season.
During the session, players will rotate through organized match play while captains observe performance across:
Doubles positioning and shot selection
Competitive decision-making
Court movement and communication
Overall match awareness
Evaluation results will be used exclusively for draft formation and roster balance.
