Coed 4v4 Sand Volleyball – Advanced & Recreational/Intermediate

Level

• Advanced – AA–BB level players; the highest level of competition at Highland

• Intermediate – BB–B level players; experienced with rallies, consistent serves, and learning/using clean hand setting

• Recreational – Open to all levels, including beginners; general knowledge of volleyball required

Team Requirements

• Coed teams

• Players should register only for the level that matches their skill for safety and fair play

• Advanced rules apply only to the Advanced division

• Recreational/Intermediate division follows standard Highland league rules (no advanced rule enforcement)

Team Size

• 6 players per roster

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to serve (overhand or underhand)

• Basic passing and rally skills

• Intermediate/Advanced players must be comfortable with structured 3-hit play

• Understanding of league rules for your division

Makeup

• Coed format

• 10 Advanced/Intermediate teams

• 10 Recreational teams

Scoring Format

• 2 matches per night

• Best of 3 games per match

  • First 2 games to 21 points (win by 2)

  • 3rd game to 15 points (win by 2)

Season Details

• 8-week season, including playoffs

• Game times: 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, or 9:00 PM

• Teams play two consecutive matches each night

• Advanced/Intermediate and Recreational divisions rotate between early and late start times

• Weekly standings, music, food, drinks, and season awards
