Rosters:
Each team consists of two or more registered players.
Schedule:
Weeks 1-5: Regular season games!
All teams will play two matches which consist of three games each, totaling six games per week in the regular season. This comes out to 24 regular season games against 8 teams.
Week 6:
Playoffs! All teams make the playoffs. Playoffs are double elimination. Top three teams win prizes.
Team Subs:
We understand that players may miss a week on occasion. Feel free to invite any friends, family, significant others, etc. to fill in for you on a week that you are unable to attend.
Playoff Eligibility:
Only players that have competed in at least three of the five regular season weeks are eligible to play in the playoffs. If you have issues fielding a playoff eligible team, please speak with your commissioner(s). If a team is unable to field a playoff eligible team, the commissioners will use their best judgement to ensure a fair resolution for everyone in the league.
Playoffs:
Every team makes the playoffs. Playoff brackets will be seeded based on regular season standings. Standings are decided by the below hierarchy.
1. Standings are sorted by match wins/losses. A match is considered a best of three against other teams. Please note that you will play all three games against the other team regardless of the match score.
2. If teams are tied on match wins/losses the first tie breaker is overall game wins/losses on the season.
3. If still tied, the team with the winning head-to-head record takes the higher seed.
4. If the teams are still tied a single down and back between one player of each team will take place. The winner of the down and back takes the higher seed.
Game Play:
We will be using ACL rules for all games. The following rules are all you should need to know to get started. Games are first to 21. Teams do not have to win by two. Cancellation scoring. No bust rule. Teammates must stand across from each other on the same side of the boards. Do not stand diagonally across from your teammate! There will be tablets for scorekeeping. For matches in the regular season, captains will self report the scores via the League Linq app/website.
Matching Up:
At the beginning of a match teams must flip a coin or spin a bag. The winner of the flip gets to decide which side they want to throw on and throws first in game one. In subsequent games, the winning team from the previous match picks their side and gets to throw first.
Weekly Minigames
Every week players have a chance to win prizes! The raffles and contests vary week to week. At least one player will win a prize each week of the league.
